Data and Analytics Specialist
We have an opportunity for an experienced Data and Analytics Specialist to join our team in providing expert advice and assistance while spearheading business improvement activities within the Three Waters domain.

About the role
As a Data and Analytics Specialist, your main role involves leading technical initiatives to enhance data quality, streamline processes, and enable robust analytics. Reporting to the Manager Business Intelligence, you'll collaborate with stakeholders, mentor colleagues, and ensure effective use of Three Waters data. Key duties include implementing reporting solutions and dashboards, prioritizing tasks, providing expert advice on asset data, optimizing data workflows, monitoring data quality, identifying improvement opportunities, and offering mentorship and training.
About you
Ideally you will have a background in data science, geography , computer science, or a related field. You will have extensive experience in roles focused on data management, analytics, and technical leadership, particularly within the context of infrastructure or utilities management.

Additional information
Hours of work - 37.5 - 40 hours per week.
Location - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga, Christchurch City Council Civic Offices - 53 Hereford Street.
Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $111,553 to $123,948 per annum based on a 40 hour working week.
Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
