Bruce is a dedicated engineering professional renowned for his expertise in water industry. Holding a PhD in Civil Engineering and being a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), he boasts a proven track record of significant contributions in both industry and academia.
A prominent figure in professional circles, Bruce holds the esteemed position of chairing the Water NZ Stormwater Committee's Education, Training, and Communication Subcommittee. He is the key organiser of a series of webinars to bring international experts together, showcase New Zealand experience, and collaborate internationally aiming for advancing technologies in stormwater management. His active involvement in other Water NZ businesses including but not limited to the Pressure Pipe Condition Assessment Guideline Design Advisory Group, further highlights his dedication to the industry.
In his current role as a Senior Healthy Waters Specialist at Auckland Council, Bruce effectively manages complex stormwater projects, seamlessly integrates sustainability practices, and engages with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive project understanding. His previous stints at consultancies underscore his capability in leading multi-disciplinary projects and driving advancements in asset management practices.
